Been there, so many times - what is really the point? About a year ago, I released myself from the need to "create content" for the sake of growing an audience, making money. Now I create content for when I am genuinely inspired to do so. If I'm not inspired, I don't write, I don't post. I give myself that permission. Thankfully I'm inspired often enough to still give value to paid subscribers here, but I don't want to ever feel like I'm putting on a show. Oh, I also love peeping in people's window's at night. I'm standing outside yours right now (jk jk). XO

It's like we're all in this together, bumbling, muddling along, feeling good then feeling ridiculous then happy then sad and angry again! Let's not be so afraid of falling down, scraping our knees. It's like we're all clinging on to the rails of a wobbly ship on the sea! 😄

Hi Talia, I found your article interesting. I enjoyed reading it. Your writing style is beautiful and engaging. And on reflection, I'm moved to say, I'm sorry you had a breakdown, and I'm glad there is, or you have found a way of coming back from it.

Rebellion sounds good to me! A way of fighting back against the things that make us break down in the first place.

I feel like what can count as content is to post whatever you want to post. And, as a human being, some days it may be beautifully curated art, or many little things that make you happy or feels good, but on other days how shitty you feel, maybe as a kind of therapy, which might help us too.

It's a good question to ask, why do we write and post for all to see? Is it external or internal validation we're seeking?

And the money making side makes it all so horribly complicated!

I could talk for hours about the internal reflection side - my favourite subject - but I guess my central message/idea is to enjoy it, perhaps go back to being more childlike, spontaneous, feel freer to be yourself, be naughty or be good as the day, the feeling, the mood inspires.
